The 1980s Japanese Printer Behind the Riso Lab
The risograph was built in 1980s Japan for cheap school printing - then zine-makers discovered its soy-based inks and glorious misregistration and turned an office machine into an art movement. Riso prints wear their imperfections openly: layers slip, colors overlap, no two copies match. This Lab is printed in that spirit - teal and pink slightly out of register, perfectly imperfect.
